The Internet Has a Face
This video explores the human connections through video, and how video has changed or enhanced interactions on the internet. It was created for a digital ethnography class at Kansas State.
 
A short video summarizing some of the most important characteristics of students today - how they learn, what they need to learn, their goals, hopes, dreams, what their lives will be like, and what kinds of changes they will experience in their lifetime. Created by Michael Wesch in collaboration with 200 students at Kansas State University.

Special collections of videos, usually produced by a central source.

 

  1. YouTube has struck deals with major universities, creating dedicated channels from which schools can distribute their media content. Not surprisingly UC Berkeley, always at the digital forefront, has taken the lead and launched an ambitious channel with over 300 hours of videotaped courses and events" including UC Berkeley, USC and Northwestern.
  2. National Geographic has over 465 videos on YouTube.
  3. Edutopia (George Lucas Foundation) has a YouTube Channel.
